St Georges Hospital Redevelopment
In 2018, MBC were engaged to complete an asbestos management survey of the entire site, including all clinical, administrative and residential buildings.
The work was conducted in a discrete manner, whilst the building remained operational, including restricted areas, such as surgical suites, clinical areas, offices and plant rooms. The management survey assisted the hospital with developing an Asbestos Management Plan for the site.
Any materials requiring urgent attention were quickly identified and management was swiftly undertaken by MBC.
Asbestos demolition surveys have also been undertaken on behalf of SGH, prior to the large scale demolition of the Radiology Building (2017) and Day Surgery Building (2021).
Numerous residential pre-demolition asbestos surveys have also been undertaken in relation to the revelopment of the hospital.
